Study of Harmonics Signal Detecting Based on Hypothetic Power

The paper defined the concept of instantaneous hypothetic power. A method for detecting harmonics signal based on instantaneous hypothetic power was proposed in the paper. The product of nonlinear AC signal and order sine-cosine signal was defined as instantaneous hypothetic active power and reactive power in the method. Then, using lower passing filter, filtered instantaneous hypothetic active power and reactive power, cut off alternating current component of instantaneous hypothetic power, gained direct current component. Using the direct current component of instantaneous hypothetic power, computed the phase of the order harmonics. Investigated the characters of harmonics signal detection based on instantaneous hypothetic power. Indicated the arithmetic flow of detecting harmonics and fundamental wave reactive power using instantaneous hypothetic power. At last, simulation was implemented. The result shows the method is sample, adaptable and with well dynamic characteristic.
