Stochastic Model Reduction via Minimum Information Loss Approach in Frequency-Domain
With the intent of application in frequency-domain digital system design, the minimum information loss (MIL) model reduction method was developed in a provided frequency interval. The method is based on the frequency-domain information description of stochastic system. Its basic idea is to preserve the original state information in a special frequency interval as much as possible after reduction. The obtained reduced model preserves various properties of the original system, such as stability, controllability, observability. A comparison was made with the MIL method by a numerical example.
