A Max-plus Algebraic Model for Hybrid Timed Petri Nets and Supervisory Control
As traditional discrete Petri nets are prohibited from modeling complex systems which are composed of both discrete and continuous events, hybrid timed event graph (HTEG) is proposed to model quantitative relations and continuous events in such systems by introducing continuous places and continuous transitions to timed event graph. Through constructing a dioid endowed with the pointwise minimum as addition and the composition of functions as multiplication, a linear min-plus algebraic model for HTEG is derived in this paper. Based on HTEG and the min-plus algebraic model, a novel supervisory control approach is also put forward at the end of this paper.
