Stability and Stabilization of Piecewise Linear Systems with Delay in States

A delay-independent stability condition based on piecewise Lyapunov functions for piecewise linear systems with delays in states is proposed. The piecewise Lyapunov functions can be calculated by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Furthermore, memoryless state feedback control law is constructed to stabilize the piecewise linear system. Since the piecewise Lyapunov functions may not subject to the constraints of positive-definite globally, the conservatism is reduced.
