Optimal Attitude Control for a Spacecraft Using Two Momentum Wheel Actuators Based on Intensified Evolutionary Programming

The optimal attitude control problem of a rigid spacecraft using two momentum wheel actuators is considered. Under the restriction that the total angular momentum vector of the spacecraft system is zero, the dynamic system is controllable. Then, this nonlinear control problem can be converted to the nonholonomic motion planning problem of a drift-free system. At present, there are several algorithms used to solve this optimization problem. In order to improve the search eciency of current algorithms, intensified evolutionary programming based optimal attitude control algorithm OACS IEP for the spacecraft using two momentum wheel actuators is presented. Especially, in the proposed algorithm, some contributions have been done. By comparing the proposed algorithm with existing Newton iteration method and genetic algorithm (GA), the simulation results show the accuracy and efficiency of algorithm OACS IEP.
