Fuzzy-Logic-Based Power Split Control for Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicles
A fuzzy-logic-based power split control strategy of parallel hybrid electric vehicle is proposed in this paper. The controller is implemented based on power dierence between the ICE optimal power and driver’s demand power, the state of charge(SOC) of the battery and the motor/generator speed. The rule set for operation of the vehicle is designed in view of an overall energy management strategy that can satisfy the requirement of performance and fuel economy. The effect of this control strategy is evaluated via simulation in ADVISOR 2002. Simulation results reveal that the proposed fuzzy-logic-based power split strategy is effective over the entire operating range of the vehicle in terms of performance and fuel economy.
