Segment Handwritten Matrix by Attractiveness Algorithm
Matrix segment is the basis of matrix structure analysis. In this paper, some basic concepts and a simple format to represent a matrix are firstly presented. Secondly, a new attractiveness algorithm was proposed to segment a matrix after the introduction of some methods and principles used for matrix segment. The experiments showed that the correct rate was up to 87.5% for well-regulated matrix and 84.5% for omitted matrix. Lastly,the graph theory was applied to analyze the row and column of matrix.The algorithm could be applied to other tabular structures in mathematical expression, such as determinant, conditional expression and binomial segment.
