Blind Multiuser Detection for UWB Systems Based on Generalized Sidelobe Canceller
This paper focuses on blind multiuser detection for ultrawideband (UWB) systems over unknown multipath channels. Unlike conventional approaches, we propose a scheme based on generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC) due to its robustness and low complexity. In our work, a GSC array is employed to collect the multipath signals and suppress multiuser interference (MUI). Afterward, the unknown UWB multipath channel is estimated by eigenvalue decomposition (EVD), and a MMSE combiner is designed. Compared to other methods, the proposed approach can achieve satisfied performance with less computational cost, as simulations indicate
