Ultra-fine grained steel and its properties

摘要：

Ultra-fine grained steel has been developed based on an environment-conscious mind.Less alloying and simple chemical composition are favorable for easy recycling but lack of high strength. To overwhelm the weak point, the ultrarefinement of grain size is an exceptionally promising way to simultaneously improve strength and toughness. Especially in Asian countries,many attempts have been done to realize this idea successfully. This paper would summarize the NIMS attempts in its basic approaches.
