A Rigid Plastic Finite Element Method as an On-line Model in Strip Rolling Process
The application of finite element method on on-line parameters setting of strip rolling seems to be incredible in the past century. With the development of the hardware of computers and other mathematic methods, the solution speed has been widely improved. This paper aims at the feasibility of on-line control of rigid plastic element method on strip rolling process. The simplified 2D plane strain rigid plastic finite element model was established. The effects of element number on the solution speed and integral parameters such as rolling force and forward slip were nvestigated. The effects of friction factor and friction coefficient also have been considered.
