Microstructure analysis of AISI 304 twin rolling casting thin strip
The microstructure of casting austenite stainless steel shows a duplex structure consisting of the delta ferrite and austenite phases and delta ferrite leads to detrimental effects on high temperature workability and corrosion resistance. Delta ferrite volume fraction is different. It is 9.74 wt % delta ferrite in casting thin strip in centre and 6.77 wt % in edge. Three distinctive phase can be seen vermicular,lathy or acicular morphology delta ferrite, some bands delta ferrite arranges in parallelism.
