Effect of Cold Reduction on the Texture Evolution of an IF Steel Previously Hot Rolled in Ferrite Region
Texture evolution in a ferritically hot rolled Ti-IF steel was investigated during cold rolling in the range of 13%-75%. It was found that, 46% was a turning point but not the best point because of the diversity of texture change between the surface and the mid-section. Orientation at the surface rotated along the path of 110<001>→554<225>→111<112>→111<110>→223<110>, and 114<110> rotated to 001<110> as the cold reduction was low (13%-35%). When reduction reached 46%, 111//ND texture disappeared, but it formed again with the increase of reduction. 111//ND texture at the mid-section increased with the reduction and the peak rotated from 001<110> to 223<110> when reduction was lower than 46%, but they acted in the opposite way as the reduction was higher.
