Coupling Damping for Non-conservatively Coupled Systems

Using Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), the coupling damping components in the non-conservatively coupled systems are studied, translating the non- conservatively coupled systems into conservatively coupled systems by replacing the damping component with one subsystem. Then, the system can meet the hypothesis of classical Statistical Energy Analysis. At the same time, the translating formulae are deduced. By taking the two non-conservatively coupled oscillators for example and using the forenamed methods, the influences of coupling damping on power distribution are studied by numerical calculations.
