A New Load Balance Routing Algorithm based on Adjacent Region for MPLS Traffic Engineering
The main contribution of this paper is a new online routing algorithm, called Load Balance routing algorithm based on Adjacent Region (LBAR), for Traffic Engineering in MPLS network. The main goal of this algorithm is to balance the load in the network and increase network resource utilization. To achieve this goal, the LBAR computes Adjacent Region of each link based on the network topology and distributes the flows on the link to its Adjacent Region if the resource utilization rate of this link reaches a critical value. Compared with other constraint-based routing algorithms, LBAR performs better than them. Simulation results show its good ability to balance the load in the MPLS domain, and do some contributions to the Traffic Engineering.
