A Distributing Method for Network Files Based-on Peer-to-Peer
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network is a new network model that has been sweeping through the technical fields of international network research over past years. Being supported by distributed computing technology, it is one of the most important technologies that influence the Internet applications. Two main problems that the traditional distributing model of network files based-on center server cannot avoid are: the bandwidth of the servers output and the reliability. The distributing model based-on Peer-to- Peer can solve these problems by a better method. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and advantages of P2P, and then discusses how to attain the high efficiency and reliable download with a simple and effective method by means of a network files download technology named BitTorrent which is based-on Peer-to-Peer model (including the P2P application protocol, uploading and sharing of the source files, how to divide one file into equal pieces and the order of the selection from these pieces, the transmission of the selected files and the optimizing algorithm which used for balancing the systems burden). At last, the paper prospects the key technologies and challenges in details.
