Research on Comb-shaped Copolymers of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer*1
In this paper, the comb-shaped copolymers of polycarboxylate were synthesized by polyethylene glycol (PEG-n), acrylic acid (AA), methyl allylsulfonate sodium (MAS) and sodium 2-acrylamido- 2-methylpropanesulphonate (NaAMPS) as superplasticizer (SP). The effects of structure, composition of the copolymer on dispersing properties were investigated. The results show that the properties of superplastisizer were affected by the length and density of graft chain in copolymers. The superplasticizer has excellent dispersing capability when the length of graft chain is 23-35 in comploymers and the mol rate of NaAMPS is 10%-15% in comploymers. The study shows that the molecular structure is similar to X404 (SP is made in Italy), and the fluidity properties of cement paste and holding are also more or less similar to those products with this superplasticizer addition of 0.12%.
