DIGITAL IMAGE WATERMARKING ALGORITHM BASED ON WAVELET PACKETS DECOMPOSITION
An adaptive digital watermarking algorithm based on wavelet packets decomposition is presented. The best bases of the wavelet packets are selected according to Shannon entropy criterion. The host image and the original watermark image are decomposed into two levels wavelet packets decomposition. The wavelet packets not only decompose the scaling space, but also the wavelet space, so the wavelet packets decomposition can decompose images in finer and flexible way. In the proposed watermarking algorithm, the noise visibility function (NVF) is used for the adaptive watermarking embedding. The experimental results show that proposed method has a good performance at the invisibility and robustness to JPEG image compression.
