SWEEPING SURFACE MODELING BY GEOMETRIC HERMITE-LIKE INTERPOLATION

In this paper we present a new method of the geometric modeling for sweeping-like interpolation surfaces by a generalized trigonometric Hermite interpolation spline. The interpolation surfaces can be viewed as a sweeping result of a profile curve along a trajectory curve, where the two classes of curves can be constructed by geometric Hermite-like interpolation spline. In addition, scaling functions have been introduced to improve the flexibility of the model of the interpolation surfaces. On the basis of these results, some examples are illustrated to show how the method is used to model some interesting surfaces.
