Land Desertification and Land Use Structure Adjustment in the Farming-pastoral Ecotone in China

摘要：

Due to ecological vulnerability, a relative drier and warmer climate in recent years and misuse of land resources, the farming-pastoral ecotone has become one of the areas with severe land desertification in China. This review presents the situation of physical conditions and economy, the dynamics of population and land use, and characteristics of land desertification in the study area. Several policy advices for preventing land desertification are put forward.
