Studies on the Efficacy and Mechanism of China Ganoderma lucidum Essence
Presented paper reviewed the anti-tumor effects of Zhonghua Lingzhi Bao (Chinese Ganoderma lucidum Essence, CGLE) and its mechanism. It has been proved that CGLE could inhibit the proliferation of leukemic cells and solid carcinoma cells, induce the apoptosis of tumor cells, and reduce toxicity effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy while enhance their therapeutic efficacy. CGLE can be used as pre- therapy, matching therapy and Best Support Case (BSC) for cancer patients. The anti-tumor mechanism of CGLE involved preventing genic mutation, improving immune function, inhibiting the activity of telomerase and topoisomerase, and activating Caspase and CAD.
