Clinical Investigation of Green Valley Lingzhi Capsule on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
This research investigated the effects of Green Valley Lingzhi capsule (GVL) on the fasting blood glucose (FBS), fasting blood insulin (FBI) and clinical symptoms in the 100 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. 130 type diabetes mellitus patients were divided into control and GVL-treated groups at randomly. The control-group patients were administrated regular hypoglycemic drugs for 2 months. The GVL-treated patients were given regular hypoglycemic drugs and GVL for 2 months also. The FBS, FBI and clinical symptoms before and after treatment were compared. There was no significant difference on FBS, FBI and clinical symptoms between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After two months treatment of regular hypoglycemic drugs, only FBS decreased significantly as compared to the before treatment. While the treatment of GVL, the FBS and the clinical symptom such as thirsty, fatigue, soreness of waist, lassitude of legs and dizziness were improved as compared to the before treatment. And the scores of fatigue, soreness of waist, lassitude of legs and dizziness in the GVL-treated patients decreased significantly as compared to the control-group patients. GVL shows synergic effect in hypoglycemic action with regular hypoglycemic drugs and improves the clinical symptoms of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
