Teaching Young Learners: Things We Should All Bear in Mind
Children are often such satisfying and ready participants in the language learning process that it is tempting for teachers to think that all they need to do is to follow their instincts and all will be well. The right emotional climate is certainly essential to successful teaching, but a strong rationale adds depth and effectiveness. In this talk I shall try to summarise some of the hot subjects from recent years of international research and discussion in the young learners field. My hope is that many of them will match up with current concerns in China.
