TGDPSO for Uncapacitated Facility Location Problem of Perishable Food Distribution Centers in Beijing

Facility location decision is strategically important in distribution network design by affecting both the inventory and routing management. In order to solve a real-life design problem encountered by Beijings government, we formulate it as UFLP with Weibull distribution and propose an improved PSO techniques termed as TGDPSO. The key question is particles presentation, so a new form of particle based on class is developed to calculate real number directly. The result demonstrates the algorithm is effective and the proposed solution could serve as the foundation for government to make decision of perishable food distribution centers development.
