Application on Establishment of Digital Urban Geologic Spatial Data Warehouse
Data warehouse is collection of data which are theme-oriented, integrated, steady and time dependent and used to support the decision making process in management. This paper firstly describes the collection process of urban geological engineering data, then pretreat these record data and store the processed data information in the form of database as data sources. Furthermore, the system structure of data warehouse is mentioned. The digital urban geological engineering data warehouse is established on the base of data warehouse model. At last, the application examples are given in three ways: establishment of data market, prediction and prevention of urban geologic disaster and modeling of three-dimension geology and visualization of geologic data. The experiments indicates that, data warehouse used as memory form of geological data, is analysis-oriented and theme-oriented and also has the advantages of high efficiency of data store, high degree of integration and fast response. The integration of data warehouse dimensions and layers with GIS can realize the share storage of vector and numerical data.
