Applying Bayesian Networks Method in Oil Monitoring Technology
Oil monitoring has been proven to be an effective method for detecting and diagnosing machinery failure and essential for realizing proactive maintenance. Diagnosis application relying on oil analysis technology must deal with uncertain knowledge and fuzzy input data. Besides other methods, Bayesian networks have been extensively applied to fault diagnosis with the advantages of uncertainty inference, however, in the area of oil monitoring, it is a new field. In this paper, Bayesian networks method is used in the oil monitoring technology for the accumulation of fault diagnosis knowledge and root cause analysis.
