Study on Heavy Metals Pollution of Dustfall Collected from the Industrial Area, Xuzhou
Atmospheric dustfall is an important aspect of urban dust studies. So the industrial area of north suburb of Xuzhou City was selected as study area. The deposited dusts were collected and monitored in series and the concentration ofCu, Cd, Pb, Cr and Zn was determined by ICP-MS after digestion with aqua regia as measure of air pollution. Compared to local background value of soils, the results indicate that the air settlement of study area have been polluted by heavy metals. The pollution degree was consistented with the spatial distribution of pollution sources and also correlated with some meteorological parameters such as temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity. etc. With regard to season, all heavy metals were present at higher level during winter compared to summer at all sites.
