Vapor-Liquid Equilibria for the Binary System of Difluoromethane + Dimethyl Ether and Trifluoromethane + Dimethyl Ether
Difluoromethane (HFC-32) + dimethyl ether (DME) and trifluoromethane (HFC-23) + dimethyl ether (DME) can be an alternative refrigerant of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Phase equilibrium data of these mixtures are critical for developing refrigerant. Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibrium data of the binary mixtures of HFC-32+DME and HFC-23+DME were measured at temperatures ranging 278.15- 303.15 K. The experimental data were correlated by the Peng-Robinson equation of state using the Wong-Sandler mixing rule.
