LPG Recovery Distillation Process with Circulating Sponge Oil

LPG demand is ever increasing in field of transportation, industry, home, etc. To reduce energy consumption in LPG recovery process and equipment of process and also to obtain a high recovery rate of LPG, a novel process for LPG recovery is investigated by computer simulation. Conventional separation process for LPG recovery use two distillation columns that consisted of deethanizer and debuthanizer. However, this process required high Energy consumption and lower degree of cooling water for overhead condenser. Using a circulating of lean C5 heavier oil as sponge oil from bottom of de-buthanizer to absorber which works as a deethanizer, we can reduce numbers of equipment for separation. And also pumparound attached on absorber is very effective for LPG recovery rate.
