The selective recovery of Ni from the spent Ni-Mo based catalysts
The selective recovery of Ni from Ni-Mo based desulfurization catalysts was aimed at this study. Ni was recovered using an extractant after disoluting metals into leaching solution from spent catalysts using a leachant. The effect of various acid and base solutions as leachants was investigated. Extractant such as an oxalic acid was used in order to recover Ni from the filtrated solution after leaching process. The aqueous solutions of HCl, H2SO4, HNO3, Na2CO3 and (NH4)2CO3 solutions were used as leachants. Selective Ni recovery was performed in leaching process consist of the two steps.
