Adsorption and complete oxidation of toluene over heterogeneous Pd/Al2O3 Catalyst
The adsorption and complete oxidation of toluene over heterogeneous Pd/Al2O3 catalysts were studied to understand the interrelation between the capacity of adsorption and the catalytic activity. Several methods, such as nitrogen adsorption, gravimetric method and light-off curve were used to analyze the structural and energetic adsorption properties and catalytic activity of the catalysts. The result revealed that the adsorption capacities were not correlated with the catalytic activities of toluene.
