Synthesis of Ion exchange fiber by using electrospinning method and Their Properties
Styrene-co-DVB fiber ion exchangers are produced by electrospinning from solutions of dissolved Styrene-co-DVB followed by sulfonation processes. Styrene-co-DVB was carried with at 80-85 ℃ for approximately 120min. A Styrene-co-DVB fiber cationic exchanger had many functional groups and was developed for high ion exchange capacity. In this Study, Styrene-co-DVB dissolved in the mixture of NMP was electrospun to prepare fibers of sub-micron in diameters. Electrospinning parameters such as polymer concentration, applied voltage and tip-to-collector distance were controlled.
