Removal of 2,4-D and TCA from aqueous solution in fixed and fluidized beds
Adsorption equilibrium of 2,4-D and TCA onto GAC could be represented by Sips equation and adsorption capacity of the herbicides onto GAC increased with decreasing pH of the solution. The breakthrough curve for packed bed is steeper than that for the fluidized bed and the breakthrough curves obtained form semi-fluidized beds lies between those obtained from the packed and fluidized beds.
