Removal of water vapor from HFC-a by membranes
Two kinds of home made hollow fiber membrane modules (1#, 2#) were used to remove water vapor from humid HFC-a feed gas in a refrigerant factory. The compressed HFC-a feed gas passed through the tube side, while the water vapor permeated selectively to the shell side of the hollow fiber membranes, and flowed through the shell side counter-current to the feed. The permeation flux and separation factor of the 2# membrane were measured in the experiment of removing water vapor from HFC-a. The effects of the feed pressure and velocity on the dehydration properties of the membranes were also investigated. The water vapor mass fraction in HFC-a feed gas could be decreased from 700- 900ppmw to 200-300ppmw by the hollow fiber gas separation membranes.
