Controlling morphology of precipitated calcium carbonate by PAA Concentration and temperature
In the crystallization process, the control of the CSD(Crystal Size Distribution) was very important and to make a narrow range crystal was also difficult. It was difficult to make a fine particle (under 10 §-) in the continuous reaction crystallizer. Concentration and molecular weight of PAA(PolyAcrylicAcid) in the Calcium carbonate continuous crystallizer were investigated. In the high molecular weight of PAA, the system was stable and low aggregated particle was observed. In the high concentration of temperature. Fine morphology particle distribution was obtained.
