A Investigation of Fuzzy Control for Gas-Injection Pressure in Gas-Assisted Injection Molding

A fuzzy control system has been developed for gas injection pressure precise control in gas-assisted injection molding. The control model was derived theoretically and its performance is improved. A fuzzy controller and its control algorithm are established. The rules of the fuzzy logic and control strategy are optimized so as to improve the adaptability of system. The simulation of the system capability and three segmental injected pressure controls are carried out under the environment of MATLAB. The results show that the theoretic model and control process are feasible, and the control system has good performance.
