Modeling and Simulation of a Novel Disk Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine for Adjusting-Speed Drive
In this paper, a novel brushless doubly-fed machine with disk structure has been presented. The Disk Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine (DBDFM) has short axial length, large power density and high operational performance besides all advantages of the conventional Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine (BDFM). The DBDFM is the most effective type of electrical machine suitable for driving windmill or water pump to perform speed-adjusting, energy-saving operation. Therefore, it has very good application prospects. This paper describes simply its structure. The operational principle of the DBDFM has been analysed and mathematic model of the DBDFM have been built in actual coordinate, and the simulating programs in MATLAB language also have been finished. Moreover, the simulation results and analysis are given in this paper.
