Single-Neuron Self-Adaptive PID Control Based on Unified Circuit Model of DC/DC Converters

The analysis based on the unified circuit model for DC/DC converters is introduced in this paper. Parameters of the model are obtained, and the simplified design method of controller is presented. The proposed novel controller is a modified single-neuron self-adaptive PID controller designed by utilizing the Hebbian Learning Rule. Furthermore, the PID control performance and dynamic responses for the given DC/DC converter are emulated and compared by MATLAB/Simulink. Finally, an experimental Buck converter has been implemented to evaluate the control performances. The experimental and simulating results are shown at the end of this paper to testify the rationality of the novel control method.
