Developments of Si Based Planer Type Ion-Channel Biosensor
The planer type patch clamp biosensor is developed using Si on insulator (SOI) substrates. The micro-pore structure is designed considering the optimization to reduce the noise. The TRPV1 ion channel-transfected HEK293 cell is positioned on the micropore and the Si chip is integrated into the microfluidic circuit. The whole cell arrangement is formed using the ionophore. The ligand gated channel current is observed successfully using capsaicin as a ligand molecule. The future application of this device to the neural network analyzer to investigate the pathogenesis mechanisms of neuro-degenerative diseases.
