Metal nanoparticle and quantum dot metamaterials for near resonant surface plasmon waveguides
We analyze metamaterials based on silver nanospheres hosted in a Iossless dielectric for use in high confinement surface plasmon waveguides. Propagation lengths and lateral confinement orders of magnitude better than bulk materials are shown.
