Demonstration of High-Q Photonic Crystal H1-defect Nanocavities after Closing of Photonic Bandgap

摘要：

We demonstrate an increase of Q after closing of the photonic bandgap by just incresing slab thickness. This counter intuitive behavior results from the weak coupling between the cavity mode and the 2nd-guided mode.
