Monitoring and Analysis on Huge Pile Axial Stress by BOTDR
A on-site experiment is carried out on a case project. The axial stress of pile which is more than 60meters long, and 1.0 meter thick, while the BOTDR technology is employed. The axial strains of pile are traced down during the process of static loading test, with nine steps of loading. After the axial strain is measured, the axial stress and force of pile are determined, and then the lateral friction force is also obtained. It reveals that there are several negative-friction segments on the lateral side of huge pile. The occurrence and development mechanism is analyzed in view of soil liquefaction and the variation of pore water pressure.
