DSS-SAR-GMTI based on the uneven background

The baseline in distributed small satellites SAR (DSSSAR) system can be decomposed into the along-track component and the across-track component. Instead of converting the alongtrack baseline into interferometric interval in the processing, this paper starts with the echo datum basing on the mixed baselines existing at the same time, analyzes the impacts on the phase of the moving and stationary targets from the along- track and the across-track baselines respectively, and images the echo datum obtained from different satellites at the same time. It proposes a novel method to compensate the phase of the stationary targets in the interferometric images after coregisteration. Comparing with conventional GMTI which ignores the phase introduced by the uneven terrain and detects moving targets directly, the proposed method is demonstrated to be more effective via the simulation which is carried out on uneven terrains with different altitudes.
