A Recursive Algorithm for Bearing Only Tracking with Signal Retardation Effect
For the bearing only tracking with ground based acoustic sensor, the signal retardation effect is a crucial problem, the traditional techniques are batch type algorithms. In this paper, a recursive method,parameter online estimation (POE) method, is proposed.Using the signal time delay equation as a constraint, it estimates the time- varying parameter in the dynamic model online. Combined with the nonlinear filtering algorithm, such as the kernel particle filter, it can solve the real time tracking problem for the bearing only tracking with signal retardation effect. Under some assumption, the theoretical performance low bound for this case is also derived. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method is verified by the simulation.
