Information Fusion: using an ontology to information evaluation

This paper presents a method for evaluating information in information fusion for intelligence1. Starting from recommandations of NATO relatively to information evaluation, this paper first presents a definition of information evaluation based on the notion of correlation between two pieces of information. It then presents a general process which computes information evaluation by using an ontology in order to estimate correlations.
