DEVELOPMENT OF A DYNAMIC HORIZONTAL LOADING TEST SYSTEM FOR PILES

A dynamic horizontal loading test system based on the wave theory was developed as a new on-site pile testing method. In this test method, the horizontal load-displacement relation of a pile is estimated by applying an impact load in the horizontal direction to the pile head using a weight and conducting wave matching analysis of the measured dynamic signals such as acceleration and horizontal displacement at the pile head.
