COMPUTER MODEL OF A UNIVERSITY BUILDING USING THE ENERGYPLUS PROGRAM

This paper presents the development of a computermodel of an academic building using the EnergyPlusprogram and its calibration with monitored data. The new Concordia Sciences Building (CSB), located inMontreal, has a total floor area of 32,000 m2. Thesize and the complexity of the heating, ventilationand air conditioning (HVAC) and heat recoverysystems make the modeling process a challenge andan excellent opportunity to evaluate the capabilitiesand features of EnergyPlus in this particular context.
