SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF THE COOLING ABILITY OF CEILING RADIANT COOLING SYSTEM
The Ceiling Radiant Cooling System is accepting by the inhabitant and been taken in some civil residential buildings project in China because of its characteristic such as better thermal comfort and lower energy consumption. This article analyzed the unit area cooling ability of the cooling ceiling in theory taking the method of equivalent radiation heat transfer coefficient, simulated the heat transfer situation of the ceiling in which the water pipe were buried with CFD software, and discussed the influence of the water pipe interval distance and the average temperature of the water to the cooling ability of the ceiling. The research results showed: The highest cooling ability per unit area of the cooling ceiling was 66W/m2; to those non-energy efficient buildings that have larger cooling load, the cooling load loaded by the Radiant Ceiling would be large too, the cooling ability of the ceiling could not fit the design demand. To those energy efficient buildings that have excellent thermal performance envelope, the cooling load loaded by the Radiant Ceiling would be smaller and the Ceiling Cooling Radiant System could reach a better energy efficient results.
