THE VOLATILITY AND THE THERMAL STORAGE PERFORMANCE OF
In this paper, the volatility of monobasic, binary andtriatomic systems consisting ofneopentylglycol(NPG), pentaerythritol(PE) andtrihytdroxy methyl-aminomethane(TAM) werestudied experimentally. In the solid–solid phasechange process, the weightless rates of polyalcoholsare lower and less than 5 percent, and the weightlessrates of polyalcohols are zero after polyalcohols aresealed. In the solid –liquid phase change process, the weightless rates of polyalcohols are larger, andthe weightless rates of polyalcohols are very smallafter polyalcohols are sealed. The higher thetemperature of polyalcohols is, the higher thevolatility. Polyalcohols should be sealed in theprocess of thermal storage. The phase changetemperatures and phase change heats of monobasic, binary and triatomic systems consisting ofneopentylglycol, pentaerythritol and trihytdroxymethyl-aminomethane were studied experimentallyby differential scaning calorimeter(DSC).Feasibility of materials used in the buildingenvelope was analyzed. Results can provide thebasis for the application of solid-solid phase changematerials in the building fields.
