THE RESEARCH OF TYPICAL VENTILATION METHODS OF AIR CONDITIONING IN TEXTILE MILLS: PART I-AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN WORKPLACE

This is the first paper in a series of two articles with the goal of evaluating and comparing the performance of typical ventilation methods in current textile mills. This paper is based on experimental method to analyze temperature distribution of the exhaust methods. Three exhaust methods were compared for their airflow pattern in workplace by investigating their temperature distribution. The results show that the new distributed bottom exhaust mode (DBEM) gained the highest efficiency at the point of 1.5m in the vertical direction upwards from the middle spinning-frame, which was the lowest vertical point than the other exhaust methods. Likewise, the mean ratio of T and T under the tested point of 2m in the vertical direction for DBEM was also the lowest among all tested ventilation methods. This meant that heat and moisture transfer being operated well in occupied zone by using exhausting pipe under spinning-frame. Consequently, DBEM might be the optimal ventilation method in textile workplace.
