A PERSONALISED THERMAL COMFORT EQUATION

Buildings consume 45 percent of energy. Hence, building energy control is always an important issue. Occupants comfort is directly linked to productivity, thus company revenue. Various Multi-Agent System (MAS) and other technologies have been proposed to co-ordinate building energy consumption and occupants comfort. However, few effective practical tool is available for shared pervasive space. One possible reason is that the existing thermal comfort equation assumes that all occupants share the same comfortable skin temperature when performing the same activity, which is questionable. This study proposes a personalized thermal comfort equation, which is particularly designed to optimise energy consumption and occupants comfort in shared space by agent systems.
